Darul Hunar Foundation Danyore Gilgit has organized a prestigious 3-Day International Blind Chess Training Camp for visually impaired boys and girls aged 10 to 20.
This special camp aims to train and select talented players from Gilgit-Baltistan for National and International Blind Chess Championships.
International Chess Masters Arjit Kumar (India) and Waqas Muhammad Waqas, President of Pakistan Blind Sports Federation, are providing advanced chess training to the participants.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by MNA Candidate GB-3 Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, who appreciated the confidence and intelligence of visually impaired players.
A special highlight was the presence of International Award Winning Blind Chess Star Fawad Alam, who inspired the children with his achievements at national and international level.
Pakistan is also preparing for the 2026 Asian Blind Chess Championship, and this camp is part of that historic journey.
