Here is a video investigating the effect of a Mitchel Engineering record clamp. The video alternates every ~30 secs between the record playing without and with the clamp. The image freezes for 2 secs around 1.24 as my phone couldn't keep up. It doesn't affect the audio. Hope the Youtube compression allows you to hear the difference, if any. Setup is a Pro-ject Debut Carbon DC USB turntable with an ATML440a cartridge.
