Nemtek Agrisolar Energiser Range

Nemtek has a range of internal battery solar energizers. The Nemtech, Agrisolar 3, Agrisolar 5, and Agrisolar 8. All three of these energizers come with the same lithium ion phosphate battery. However, the Agrisolar 3 has a five watt solar cell, whereas the Agrisolar 5 and 8t have a ten watt solar cell. The output of an energizer is measured in output joules. The Agrisolar 3 generates 0.26 output joules. The Agrisolar 5 puts out 0.47 joules and the Agrisolar 9 puts 0.68 joules. This means that the Agrisolar 8 puts out the most power but also drains the battery faster. And the Agrisolar 3 will have the longest battery life, although it will also recharge the battery slower than the 5 or the 8.

So the bottom line what does this all mean? And which energizer should I choose for my fence? In terms of raw power, the Agrisolar 3 can power one electric net, the Agrisolar 5 can power two nets, and the Agrisolar 8 can power three nets, although two nets is more realistic and then it does depend on ground moisture.

If you want to use your energizer during winter, then I prefer not recommending them for use in Tasmania or Victoria due to the lack of a mains energizer in all other states. These energizers are great and they're fine in the southern states during spring, autumn and summer. If the energizer is not being used continuously, then the fact that the battery can go into a deep sleep mode is ideal. This means that unlike in a car where if you don't start the engine from time to time, the battery will die, these Nemtek lithium batteries will hibernate until you need them.

If you live in a lightning prone area, then the built in lightning protection is handy. Although remember, these energizers are not lightning proof. So the super summary then the Nemtek range is ideal for up to 100 meters of netting in all states with the exception of Victoria and Tasmania in winter.
The lithium battery in these energizers is superior to all other brands in terms of capacity, endurance and durability. The lightning protection is a neat bonus. So, is Nemtek right for you?
