Baatein (Words of Eternal Life) is a song which speaks about the conversation Jesus had with his disciples in John chapter 6. The conversation is given in the passage below. As many of the disciples left Jesus, (they felt that his teaching was too hard), Jesus said to his 12 disciples, that they could leave if they wanted. But Peter had recognized that it was the Lord Jesus Christ who had words of Eternal life, which no one else had. Going away from him, was going away from eternal life.

This song is about those words of Eternal life and about the Lord who gives us that life.

67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
