Control Arm Replacement - Front Rearward | Cadillac CTS ATS CT4 CT5 Camaro

Your lower control arm ball joints and inner bushings can fail over time causing suspension noise and misalignment which can lead to premature tire wear. In this eposide we replace the front REARWARD control arms on the Cadillac CTS. The procedure is nearly identical on the ATS and Camaro as well. With the right tools, this job is simple and straight forward but I share a few tips and tricks to make it easier.

Torque specs:
Ball joint 21mm: 30 ft-lbs + 120-135 degrees
Inner joint 18mm: 74 ft-lbs +Torque 90-105 degrees. Torque to yield bolts need to be replaced.
