RWBY: Armed and Ready - Orchestral Metal Remix

After the intro - which I kept almost entirely unchanged - the first time I did was re-work the drum line, as 14 bars of uninterrupted kick drum trashing isn't very interesting. But doing so presented a issue, in that said uninterrupted trashing served to mask the fact that the guitars switch back and forth between being on-beat and ahead, which I found extremely distracting exposed. To address this, I opted to keep them on-beat, but this presented a second issue in that this moved the high chords of the riff behind the vocal. I spent a long while puzzling on how to address this, coming up with several patterns before ultimately settling on having a second chord a bit lower than the accent ones before them.

After this, things were a lot more straight-forward. A couple of things here and there were revised along the way, but nothing major. The next thing I spent a lot of time on was adjusting phonemes on the vocals so things aren't over-enunciated, or get lost in the mix. Pretty tedious work, but it's better done than left unchanged. :p
