We go to Land's End and Sennen Cove, as part of our trip to Cornwall in our Roller Team Auto Roller 707 motorhome with our 2 rescue chihuahuas.

The weather isn't overly kind to us but we still get out and about without, generally, getting too wet.

We can walk from the site to the stunning Gwynver Beach, and from there it's a short walk either on the beach at low tide, or the South West Coast Path when the sea is in, to the local village of Sennen Cove.

At Sennen Cove, there are some shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as an interesting gallery and lifeboat station.

We try out, in turn, the Surf Beach Bar, Blue Lagoon fish and chip shop, and Sennen Cove Cafe.

Unfortunately the only car park in Sennen Cove which welcomes motorhomes or campervans over 5m in length was firmly shut, presumably for the winter. As a result, instead of parking there and walking to Land's End and back, we had to do it the other way round.

We had both been independently to Land's End decades ago and not been impressed with the commercialism. However, this time we felt more favourably. Although the immediate area is commercialised and most attractions have an entrance charge, you only need to walk a few minutes away from there for it to feel like it's much more wild.

It's a straightforward walk to Sennen Cove along the coast path, with great views including of the shipwreck of RMS Mulheim.

Parking at Land's End was pricy - and not overly clear on the website what the cost is (we paid £7 for 4 hours). And yes, we did pay up! En route home, the weather had turned sunny again, so we stopped off in Hayle to have a final walk on a beach. We enjoyed our trip to this area and will definitely go back again at some point to explore further.
