Since the water is super low in the river, I thought it would be a perfect time to test out the Kingswell Telescopic travel rod and reel, and give you my review. This area of the river had some deep pools that were separated by dry sections of river that had no water what so ever in them. Some stretches were over 60 yards long that were dried up! I know there will be fish hiding in the deep pools and river bends. The only way to access them is to wade up the river and fish for them on foot. Having a rod that collapses down to such a small combo was the perfect tool to easily make my way up the river and reach the areas I scouted with out lugging around a bunch of cumbersome gear. Now that I'm home, this combo lives in my truck, and I've been whipping it out to fish ponds around town when I drive by something that looks too good to pass up. Its the Swiss Army Knife of fishing rods and I've been enjoying using it.
