We typically re-stain our deck every 1-2 years. Last year we made the mistake of using a regular paint sprayer and the results were disappointing. This year we stained our deck using Wagner Control Spray 250 and Thompson's WaterSeal. We are very pleased with how the deck turned out.

What you do not see in the video is we power washed the deck 48 hours before staining using a 40 degree nozzle tip. The whole staining process took about 4-5 hours, the first 2 hours was the pre-work of taping and protecting the siding of the house from the over spray.
After the staining was done, it was dry to the touch within 2 hours and we could walk on it after 4 hours. We placed the furniture back on the deck after 24 hours.
