Searching for the Source of the 800 Carat, Yellow Nipissing Diamond

Описание к видео Searching for the Source of the 800 Carat, Yellow Nipissing Diamond

Between 1903 and 1905, the Nipissing Diamond was found west of Lake Temiskaming in Northern Ontario. In 1906, Tiffany & Co cut and polished the stone into many pieces, then sent a team of diamond experts to search for its source, but didn't report any additional discoveries. In 2019, using new modern technology and knowledge, RJK Explorations has reopened the search for the source of the Nipissing Diamond. These large, type A2 diamonds are very valuable, and come from much deeper in the earth's mantle than normal macro or micro diamonds. Time will tell if RJK discovers the Kimberlite source of this large, precious gem.
