UAV Search and Rescue Demo - part 1 (search) Gemini V-2

Today, we perform a demo search mission with the Gemini V-2 autonomous UAV, searching for a Blue X distress signal.

This type of aircraft is ideal for these missions, and can easily run circles around multi rotor drones which are commonly used for mapping. With greater cruise speeds, good wind penetration, and long flight times, It can really go the distance, when it comes to flying long missions over large areas of harsh terrain. A low operating cost, quiet operation, and flexibility to carry multiple sensors makes it an ideal candidate for commercial operations.
