What do you mean by kinematic chain?
Kinematic chain - Wikipedia
In mechanical engineering, a kinematic chain is an assembly of rigid bodies connected by joints to provide constrained motion that is the mathematical model for a mechanical system. As the word chain suggests, the rigid bodies, or links, are constrained by their connections to other links.

What is meant by kinetic chain?
A kinetic chain is the notion that these joints and segments have an effect on one another during movement. When one is in motion, it creates a chain of events that affects the movement of neighboring joints and segments.

What is a kinematic mechanism?
Kinematics of mechanisms is concerned with the motion of the parts without considering how the influencing factors (force and mass) affect the motion. Therefore, kinematics deals with the fundamental concepts of space and time and the quantities velocity and acceleration derived there from

What is the difference between kinematic and kinetic chain?
Kinetics and Kinematics are two of the main branches of dynamics, that is, the study of forces and motion. Kinetics deals with forces and motion only and reveals how forces affect motion. Kinematics deals with motion only–or how an object moves through space–without reference to any associated force.

What is kinematic chain and inversion?
When one link or a kinematic chain is fixed, it works as a mechanism. From a four link kinematic chain, four different mechanisms can be obtained by fixing each of the four links turn by turn. All these mechanisms are called inversions of the parent kinematic chain.

Why is it called kinematics?
Kinematics - Wikipedia
Etymology. The term kinematic is the English version of A.M. Ampère's cinématique, which he constructed from the Greek κίνημα kinema ("movement, motion"), itself derived from κινεῖν kinein ("to move"). Kinematic and cinématique are related to the French word cinéma, but neither are directly derived from it.

Why 3 bar chain is not a kinematic chain?
A minimum number of three links is required to form a closed chain but there will be no relative motion between these three links if all are lower pairs. Hence it cannot form a kinematic chain. So the minimum of four links is necessary to form a kinematic chain when all the lower pairs are used.

Who is the father of kinematics?
Franz Reuleaux - Wikipedia
Franz Reuleaux (French: [ʁœlo]; German: [ʁøˈloː]; 30 September 1829 – 20 August 1905) was a German mechanical engineer and a lecturer of the Berlin Royal Technical Academy, later appointed as the president of the academy. He was often called the father of kinematics.

What is the formula for kinematics?
Kinematics Equations - What is Kinematics | Inverse Kinematics
There are four basic kinematics equations:

v = v 0 + a t. Δ x = ( v + v 0 2 ) t. Δ x = v 0 t + 1 2 a t 2. v 2 = v o 2 + 2 a Δ x
