The term 'man up' is a potent, powerful, and necessary one to have in a culture. It allows a man to move forward regardless of feelings or circumstances, which is all we can really do in life.

It's far better to meet your problems with aggression than it is to march forward in a timid fashion. But 'man up' is deemed 'problematic', even insensitive, hard, or....

Toxic (what a load of B.S. that is).

By outlawing the term man up, 'they're' pulling the rug out from under men's feet. If we can't be the strong, silent, deal with our problems how we best deal with our problems type, we're doomed. We're doomed to be emotional wrecks who make a mountain out of a molehill. We're doomed to weakness, softness, and most harmfully, we're doomed to victimhood.

Men cannot be victims and live a good life. Nor can we be victims and be fathers or husbands, leaders or businessmen.

So...
