A significant milestone was achieved in October 2024 when Kenya became the 84th member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). This membership opens doors for the Ice Lions to participate in international competitions and access resources to further develop the sport domestically.

Despite challenges such as limited facilities and resources, the Kenya Ice Lions continue to inspire by breaking new ground in a sport traditionally dominated by countries with colder climates. Their story exemplifies determination and the universal appeal of ice hockey.
