The 15th BRICS Summit was held in Johannesburg from August 22 to 24, with an initial round of expansion being announced and de-dollarization being discussed. Critics and a chorus of bleak voices are prophesying a gloomy future for the bloc, and the West asks, "What's the point of the BRICS?"
