It's interesting how close the spears come to the performer's body.

Bo no te is a form of folk dance which includes acrobatics and martial arts practiced in small villages and usually demonstrated at festivals along with other folk dance, musical instruments and the like. It is not considered to be traditional martial arts and is more performance base for entertainment and to pass on some bits of history within the community. There have been some connection to traditional martial arts in certain areas that contain Bo No Te. Each area has it's own school and performances.
