This is the "official" Glenn Miller Birthplace Society Big Band, which performs annually at the Glenn Miller Festivals. Many of the band members have never performed together, and the personnel changes yearly. On the day before the concert, the band has one two-hour rehearsal to prepare for the performance the next day. Under the direction of band leader Tom Daugherty (www.tomdaughertyorchestra.com), the band is whipped into shape and always does a pretty decent job with their show. We hope you enjoy this performance. As this band usually does a replication of the old Chesterfield Shows that Glenn Miller used to do, this year, the theme was focused on the AAF band with the "I Sustain The Wings" program. Dennis Spragg was the Emcee and really did a fine job this year!
