The Beauty Complex: Pilot Episode 1- The Club Kids

Would you watch a show about beauty history? This 6-minute "Sizzle" is currently being pitched to networks. It’s a dream of mine to travel the world exploring beauty culture and makeup genres that have existed throughout history. I would love to hear your feedback! The possible name of the show is Beauty Complex, a play on words but I’m happy to take any suggestions!

Not only will I explore ancient and current beauty rituals but we’ll see firsthand toxic ingredients, application techniques, and even what certain shapes or colors signify within that culture.

In this video, we’ll learn about the 1990s NYC Club Kids and how their makeup and eye-catching looks inspire beauty today, then attempt to recreate a look inspired by their art.
