VICTORIA PARK in LONDON | Voted the Best Park in London!

There are so many famous parks in London, but the majority of them are in central London in Zone One. But what about the People's Park? The first and only purpose-built park, created solely for the people living in East London. It's so popular with Londoners that it's been voted "Best London Park" on multiple occassions.

A visit to Victoria Park you will find people picnicing on the grass, playing sport, relaxing, cycling. There are a number of pubs within the Park as well as the famous Pavillion cafe which is a personal favourite for brunch beside the West Lake or a coffee to go.

Historic lovers will love the two stone alcoves which are actually older than the park itself! These are remnants of old London Bridge have provided Londoners shelter over the Thames for 250 years!

Foodies will love the Victoria Park Farmers Market which is held in the West Park on a pedestrianised street called the Nightwalk which is inside the park between Bonner Gate and Gore Gate. Google Map the nearest postcode which is E2 9JW . Open on Sunday 10-4 (produce); 10-5 (hot food/beer).

Don't miss the tree trails. These have been created in partnership between Trees for Cities and Victoria Park with the aim to provide a fascinating and fun guide to some of the park's most interesting trees.
