Since around September 2023, we made the decision to only do one Backyardigans Tribute Video once a month in order to focus on bigger projects. But right now, having spent the majority of this year doing a lot of big projects and having just finished them, we’ve officially decided to go back and play with the Backyardigans again, full-time. In other words, we’re no longer making these videos monthly. Whether or not new BTVs will be done weekly, there hopefully will be a bigger number of BTVs in the next few weeks. Anyway, we’ve officially restarted production with a video of a song that I had been considering to make a BTV of for a good, long while. It’s a song from the season 2 episode, “Sinbad Sails Alone”, and I strongly believe it’s the best song of that episode, or at least, it’s the song that I remember the most from that episode, “Siren Says”, a delightfully catchy mambo number involving Siren Uniqua challenging Pablo and Tyrone to a heated game of “Siren Says”. For the premise of this video, I simply decided to have myself and the crew play the game as well, while setting up the beginning of the video in the brief tone of a movie trailer and adding in a closing scene after the song. It was so much fun making this video, not only once again writing a solid setup and putting all the filmed shots, Backyardigans footage, and movie clips together while matching the music, but it allowed me to really play with my newly-crafted abilities to create effects on my own.
