On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) organized a spectacular parade of historical trams to celebrate the 150th anniversary of public transportation in the Czech capital. The event featured around 40 trams, ranging from a 19th-century horse-drawn carriage to the brand-new 52T model—though some were only visible along parts of the route.

🎉 The parade started with a static exhibition of all participating trams on Sokolovská Street (between Urxova and Křižíkova stops) from 9:30 AM. At 11:00 AM, the trams embarked on a 12-kilometer journey through Prague’s iconic landmarks, including Náměstí Republiky, Charles Bridge, National Theatre, and Wenceslas Square.

🐎 The highlight was the horse-drawn tram leading the procession, symbolizing the origins of Prague’s public transport in 1875, while the modern 52T tram closed the parade, showcasing the evolution of transit technology.
