Marilyn Waggoner was born in a small Midwestern town of Almena, KS - a town she describes as a wonderful place to spend her early years.

In the sixth grade, she moved with her family to a college town, Hays, KS.

She often tells folks that after spending three years as a "prisoner", she graduated from college in the town where Marshall Dillon from the TV show "Gunsmoke" took all of his prisoners.

From college, Marilyn pursued many careers.

Straight out of college, she worked as a Psychiatric Aide at the Norton State Hospital in Kansas. She taught one year of sciences in high school in Paradise, KS.

What an omen!

From there, she went to the U.S. Army to study Medical Laboratory training; entered Federal service to inspect aircraft for the U.S Navy; and worked as an Industrial Hygienist for OSHA and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

After retiring from the Federal government with 41 years of service, Marilyn looked for another way to server her community.

Her relationship with Elaine Ireland sparked her interest in Metaphysics, and her friendships with Julie Wilson and Latrell Maples - both past producers of Austin and West Texas Metaphysical Fairs - led to the opportunity of becoming the producer of the Fair.

In 2010, Marilyn established her own production company, Spiritual Life Productions.

She has been shepherding the Metaphysical and Holistic Life Expos.

While this was quite a departure from her engineering-based career, she has embraced her new avocation with interest and energy.

In establishing a mission for the Fairs, Marilyn focused on supporting practitioners in the community and educating the public in the mysteries and wisdom of the spiritual world.
