An earlier video explained the use of the chiaroscuro whisper as a training device for resonance tuning and for passive vowel migrations in which no shape change is needed. (See the link below.) This video explains how to use this devise to train best shaping per vowel for active vowel modification--primarily for pitches sung above first formant locations of vowels. This is done by maintaining the auditory targets (pitch and tone color) of the intended vowel while comfortably opening the mouth, always using some appropriate affective (expressive) motivation.
