Lucas & Elizabeth: It's You (When Calls the Heart)

Hearties! After cheering on this couple for 3 seasons, it still seems a little surreal, but it's finally official: Elizabeth & Lucas have chosen each other! And this only the beginning of their beautiful lifetime together. The finale was satisfying, romantic, and better than anything I could've ever dreamed up. Erin & Chris are incredible actors and they DELIVERED. The whole cast, crew, writers, producers - they all delivered a fantastic season. I say it all the time and I'll continue to keep saying it - this show brings me so much joy. I love sharing my love for the show and for Lucas & Elizabeth, so I hope to keep making these videos and sharing them with the Hearties. Let's all choose to spread kindness, love, and joy. Can't wait for Season 9!!!

For me, the most difficult part of making a fan video is finding the right songs to tell the story and set the tone. I knew I wanted to use "Love on Top" for the Season 8 clips. Beyonce?! Yes, it's a Beyonce song and I've always loved it, but I'll admit I never fully appreciated the lyrics until I heard Tim Halperin's acoustic cover. This version just gave me the sense of calm that Lucas brings. It just oozes romance and that wonderful feeling of being in love. The song I used for S6 & 7, "When I'm with You", is a song I only recently came across on Spotify and immediately added to my playlist. I didn't know what I was looking for until I heard it. Once I had these two songs, I was finally able to put this video together. I think the lyrics to both of these songs are beautiful and fit perfectly with this love story.
