Xzibit, born Alvin Nathaniel Joiner on September 18, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American rapper, actor, and television host. He first gained attention in the mid-1990s with his debut album "At the Speed of Life" (1996), which featured the hit single "Paparazzi." Known for his gritty lyrics and robust delivery, Xzibit quickly established himself in the West Coast hip-hop scene.

His second album, "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz" (1998), solidified his reputation with singles like "What U See Is What U Get." He achieved mainstream success with his third album, "Restless" (2000), executive produced by Dr. Dre. The album included hit tracks such as "X" and "Front 2 Back" and featured collaborations with prominent artists like Snoop Dogg and Eminem.

Xzibit's subsequent albums, including "Man vs. Machine" (2002) and "Weapons of Mass Destruction" (2004), continued to showcase his talent and versatility, blending hardcore rap with more introspective tracks. In addition to his music career, Xzibit became widely known as the host of the popular MTV show "Pimp My Ride" (2004-2007), where he transformed old, dilapidated cars into customized, tricked-out vehicles.

Aside from his music and television work, Xzibit has also pursued an acting career, appearing in films such as "8 Mile" (2002), "Gridiron Gang" (2006), and "xXx: State of the Union" (2005), as well as in TV series like "Empire" and "Hawaii Five-0."
