◼︎In this video, I returned to Hamburg from Berlin for just a few hours to explore some of the city’s most iconic foods. Hamburg is famous for its seafood, and I wanted to taste three specialties you can’t miss.
I started at the harbor at the legendary Brücke 10, where I tried the classic Krabbenbrötchen, a soft bread roll filled with freshly caught North Sea shrimp. It’s simple, fresh, and one of the best things to eat by the water.
Next, I headed over to Fabio's Fischbistro & Feinkost for a Backfisch Fischbrötchen. This is a crispy, golden fried fish fillet served in a bun, often with tangy sauce, it’s comfort food Hamburg style.
Finally, I sat down at Laufauf to try Labskaus, one of Hamburg’s most traditional and unique dishes. This sailor’s meal is made with corned beef, potatoes, and onions, then served with beetroot, pickles, herring, and a fried egg on top. It’s hearty, historic, and truly an experience.
