Timestamps and important notes for each battles are below. Parameters chosen (Master Mode) are shown at the result screen of each battle.

Note: Steven & Metagross (Weakness: Grass) while is available during this Hoenn Challenge run, they are not available for Master Mode due to being appeared only once on the first week of the entire challenge run (which logically you can't play them in Master Mode because the first week is for collecting types). So, I will post the remaining stage once Hoenn Challenge returns (hopefully near future).


1. Steven & Aggron (Weakness: Water) 0:00
Middle opponent has Tough Cookie and Towering Force, which respectively increase their attack moves and Sync Move damage that scales with their raised Defense stat ranks.
Sidekicks have Tough Cookie.
Middle opponent has Power Reserves 9, which increase 90% attack move damage when their HP falls below 33%.
All opponents have Ripple Effect 9, causing any of their moves that lowers stat of one individual Sync Pair successfully to reduces then entire opposing team instead.
Watch out for middle opponent's Metal Burst, which will be used right after their first Sync Move was used.

Bring a hard Defense supporter. And if you see middle target use Metal Burst, let your tank attacker them first. Letting your main damage dealer going off a powerful attack move instead will have them resulted in taking an extremely powerful counterattack from it.

2. Steven & Claydol (Weakness: Grass) 2:44
All opponents have multiple passives related to Psychic Terrain, each respectively increase their attack move, gauge generation and reduces attack move damage taken.
Middle opponent uses Psychic Terrain right before their first Sync Move.
Middle opponent has Opening Blockade, activating both Physical and Special Damage Reduction field effect upon start of battle. This is basically useless since most players plan to deal critical damage against them anyway.

Win the battle before they use their first Sync Move, or counter against Psychic Terrain with other terrain (Grassy Terrain is recommended),... or cleverly take advantage of their Psychic Terrain for your own benefits.
