If planet Earth does not seem to be getting excessive rain or hitting dozens of countries with heatwaves at the moment or even both one after another (as in the case of Japan), there seems to be no good news from these extreme weather events.

However, the long heatwave in the UK (last seen in 1976), has one benefit for aeriel archaeologists in the UK.

Ancient burial mounds, forts, farms and more have been spotted, some dating back thousands of years, understood by the experts, can be seen by all and even shed new light on our ancient past, as can be seen here on The One Show this day.
