I made this song specifically for the painting/art by @carla_v_ie on Instragram. (Find her here:   / carla_v_ie   she's a fantastic artist)

I've never composed a waltz before but when I first found the painting on Instagram I immediately thought a waltz would work really well and then I recorded a mock piano version of this. I recorded each individual part of this piece, the strings, piano, and woodwinds on my keyboard, just kind of layering as I went. There are parts of the song that get messy but I did this as to represent both the people in the painting stepping on each others toes and tripping the other over since it's their first dance. Then as the song begins to slow down so does their dancing and they begin to understand the other much better than before.
