Introducing the WWFF Awards: The New Awards You NEED to Know

Applying for the World Wide Flora & Fauna (WWFF) awards is an exciting way for amateur radio operators to recognize their achievements in contacting stations operating from protected nature areas. Here's how you can apply for WWFF awards:

Register on the WWFF website: To begin, you must register on the official WWFF website (http://www.wwff.co). This registration will give you full access to your account and the ability to apply for awards.

Log in to your account using your username and password once registered.

Use WWFF Logsearch: The WWFF program utilizes a system called Logsearch. This tool allows you to see what global and national awards you qualify for. It's an essential resource for tracking your progress and identifying which awards you can apply for.

Apply for Global WWFF Awards: Global WWFF Awards can be applied directly through the Logsearch feature. Once logged in, navigate to the awards section and select the global awards for which you're eligible.

Check for National Awards: Some national awards may not be available through Logsearch. In this case, you might need to contact the national WWFF coordinator for your country to apply for these specific awards.

Meet the requirements: Each award has its own set of requirements. For example, the basic VKFF (Australia) award requires you to have activated or worked 10 out of 62 specific VKFF Parks.

Submit your application: Once you've confirmed your eligibility through Logsearch, submit your application for the desired award.

Wait for approval: After submission, your application will be reviewed. You'll receive your award, which is often a colorful, printable certificate if approved.

Remember, WWFF is a non-commercial program run by volunteers, so be patient during the application process. If you've recently participated in POTA (Parks on the Air) & WWFF activations, there's a good chance you may already qualify for some awards, so it's worth checking your eligibility.
