Ancient Historical & Mysterious Hindu Temple In Tilla Jogian Of Dina District Jhelum

In this video we will show you a “Magical World” which is situated at the top of a hill in a thick forest where the Bala Nath Jogi was performed his worship and devoutness hide from the eyes of the world. Bala Nath Jogi settled a world of magic on the whole mountain where he himself did magic and also taught the teaching of magic. At that time here many idols were worshiped and along with the sun rays. To count the days, months and years started from this place. The Jogies from all over the world came here to get education that is the reason it is called “Tilla Jogian”. It is 5000 years old, ancient, historical and mysterious Tilla. We will show you this Tilla and also tell the history of this Tilla Jogian. We will tell you that what is the situation of this magical place now” ?This Tilla Jogian was settled in this deserted and isolated forest before 326 BC. This is a mysterious Tilla Jogian which history is mostly full of traditions instead of facts. This is at least 3000 to 5000 years old place where people came for the purpose of worship. According to Hindus 5 Pandawa brothers with their lone wife came Tilla Jogian for worship. Earlier this Tilla Jogian was called Tilla Gorakh Nath, Tilla Bala Nath, Tilla Baba Guru Nanak, Tilla Udassian and Tilla Mian Ranjha. Earlier the king Raja Porus, Alexander the Great Sikandar-e-Azam, Mughal Emperor Akbar-e-Azam, Sher Shah Suri, King Naseeruddin Humayun, Baba Guru Nank and 500 years before the character of Heer Ranjha story, Mian Murad Baksh Ranjha and many other important personalities came here. Mian Ranjha got allowable from here to perforate ears. People came here to acquiesce vows. When the sun rises the sun rays first come to Tilla Jogian therefore the people apotheosis to sun and worshiped. According to different traditions these Jogies had expertise on treatment with herbage, yoga and astrology. When this Tilla was settled a very big festival was set up here on 14 Magh every year at that time which was admitted the biggest festival of the Subcontinent. This Tilla Jogian is situated on 3200 feet high hill top. Firstly the Gorakh Nath Hindu eremite Jogi settled here this Tilla was blessed for the Priests of the Sun, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains Hindu, Sikhs and Muslims. After Gorakh Nath the Bala Nath Jogi got fame and that is the reason this Tilla is called Bala Nath Tilla. Bala Nath was the contemporary of Bahlul Khan Lodhi which era was from 1421 to 1489. Bahlul Lodhi came to Tilla Jogian to meet with Bala Nath Jogi which was the peak time of Jogies. When thousands of Jogies did chillas in the caves here the shoes made of wood and in red dress the Jogies saw here in large numbers. Baba Guru Nanak came here in 1521 from passing through Makkah, Baghdad, Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal, Taxila and at last reached Tilla Jogian. After returning from here he continued a fountain in Dina District Jhelum than Maharaja Ranjit Singh constructed a Gurdwara here which was famous with the name of Choa Sahib. King Naseeruddin Humayan came here and his son Emperor Akbar-e-Azam came here in 1581 it is says about that he came here with hat less and barefooted and met with the guru of Jogies. When king Saleem and Noor-ud-din Muhammad Jahangir went to Kashmir in 1607 he stayed in Rohtas Fort of Jhelum and came to Tilla Jogian for hunting and here he set up a durbar. Than Maharaja Ranjit Singh constructed a Gurdwara here in 1834. In 1947 60 % Hindus and Sikh Jogies were present here while the 40 % Muslims Jogies. In the era of Ahmad Shah Abdali the attacked was did on Tilla Jogian and looted. Many people destroyed this historical asset to dug for seek of treasures. Sometime this Tilla was the best place of religious harmony and according to a tradition there were 75 Temples which are now eliminating. According to an Archaeological Survey of India these Temples were constructed between the years 650 to 900. A pond was constructed here in the era of Hindu Royal Kingdom which was constructed by Raja Anand Pal and Raja J Pal. A pond was also constructed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Former Prime Minister, Imran Khan inaugurated Tilla Jogian National Park in Tilla Jogian in 2022. Even today one has to pass through Rohtas Fort to go to Tilla Jogian. This is a mysterious, ancient and historical Tilla which was continuously settled since 326 BC to till 1947. Hindus, Sikhs and Jogies came here in different eras and this Tilla became deserted after their departure.
