FireSmart Presentation for BC Communities (May 2023)

In May 2023 FireSmart public presentations were held in five BC communities — Lillooet, Clinton, Williams Lake, Quesnel and Clearwater. The presentations were hosted by BC's Community Wildfire Roundtables and featured fire safety expert Alan Westhaver who has over 30 years of experience in wildfire risk reduction. Here he shares lessons on how fire disasters happen and some high-priority actions residents can take to help protect their homes and property.

These presentations were organized by the Fraser Basin Council as secretariat for the Roundtables. This video is from the May 17 event in Williams Lake.
