Islands in

Before January 2024, I didn't know about the islands in huge #Tarbela Lake and somehow, I finally decided to visit the lake and the islands. The lake can be accessed from many sides however the famous picnic spot and fishing point lies at 20 min drive north east of #Haripur city. Indeed this visit was a bonus to my recent trip to Siran valley.
Tarbela lake is the largest artificial lake formed as a result of the large water reservoir of Tarbela dam. The islands in the lake disappear during summer when water level increases and appear on surface again as soon as the level of water in the lake drops during winter season. People living on the island do shift to the dry land during summer. Isn't it difficult to shift twice a year? Yes, it is. Anyways, boating in the lake and visiting one of the many islands was an awesome experience.
