Exclusive video documentary shows what its like to be a Paratrooper in a Delta Weapons Company to include a "ruckcam" view of what its like to static-line parachute jump from a military aircraft. The U.S. Army's Airborne and Air Assault Light Infantry Battalions only have heavy direct-firepower on flimsy, road-bound, non-swimming, unarmored Humvee trucks---but the men in these units know how to fight on the move--they just need M113 Gavin tracked armored fighting vehicles to mount their heavy weapons and better weapons like stabilized 30mm autocannon.

The Brits & Canadians know this:

To date, however, the Army have been reliant on WIMIK Land Rovers for their fire support, with the occasional intervention of Scorpion light tanks which, with their 30mm Rarden cannon, have been regarded as a "battle winner".

Delta Weapons companies with M113 Gavins would not only be cross-country mobile to avoid road landmines and surprise enemies with their unexpected arrival, they would be able to give brother HHC, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie rifle companies armored transport as needed that can advance in the face of enemy fire to get them to their dismounted assault positions. M113 Gavins are CH-47 and C-130 air-transportable unlike bloated wheeled trucks and with band tracks require even less maintenance than their 30+ Humvee truck deathtraps they have are stuck with now. Delta Weapons companies are great units that just need a great tracked AFV: the M113 Gavin. Details:
