The Making of The First Lady goes behind the scenes with Faith Evans as she prepares to release her Capitol Records debut in 2005. This documentary captures the first lady from her home life as a wife and mother to her professional life as a multifaceted artist with interviews and commentary from her then husband/manager Todd Russaw, her children and producers such as Jermaine Dupri and Carvin & Ivan. In addition, this documentary gives her faithfuls a glimpse into the video shoot for her single "Again" as well as some studio sessions of unreleased music from The First Lady album and a session with rapper Twista recording their hit single "Hope" from the soundtrack of the 2005 movie Coach Carter.
