A rare occurrence by all means, two rail tours in one day on the Heart of Wales line. One rail tour hauled by 37254 and 175 working from Carnforth to Carmarthen along the Marches and return along the HofW, secondly 68016 and 024 working from London Paddington to Llandrindod and return. First up I caught the 37's on the Marches on their way down at Moreton-On-Lugg looking in fantastic condition as they bask in the sun south. I moved on and took an easy drive over to Llandrindod to catch the Northern Belle from which I expected to be Class 57's, as I was awaiting them I was informed by another enthusiast that it was in fact hauled by 68's. A few shots there and I decided to head further south to allow me to get another shot of the 37's, this time seen in top and tailed formation and both powering to the summit of Sugar Loaf with 37175 leading. As the train peels of to Builth Road it allowed me to get in front of the train and get it coming into Llandrindod station, from where it used the 'wrong line'. 37254 was then attached along with 37175 to the top of the train and I moved on to Pen-Y-Bont station for the final and my favourite shot of the day.
