Microsoft Excel Tutorial: An amazing trick to quickly filter an Excel spreadsheet to values over or under any theshhold.

Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel podcast, where we share valuable Excel tips and tricks to help you become an Excel pro. In this episode, we will be discussing how to filter your Excel spreadsheet to records over $20,000. This is a great hack that I learned while on the road in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Shoutout to Taylor and Chris for sharing this awesome trick with me.

If you've ever struggled with filtering large amounts of data in Excel, this hack is for you. Instead of manually selecting each value to filter, simply select the cell with the desired value (in this case, 19,500) and use the filter by selection option. This will automatically filter your data to show only records above the selected value. It's a quick and efficient way to filter your data without having to go through multiple steps.

To make this hack even more accessible, you can add the filter by selection option to your quick access toolbar. Simply right-click on the toolbar, select "customize quick access toolbar," and choose "filter by selection" from the list of commands not in the ribbon. This will allow you to easily access this feature whenever you need it.

One thing to note is that this hack will only work for numerical data. If you have text data, it will not be filtered correctly. But don't worry, we have a solution for that too. I love this awesome trick that I learned from the New Mexico office of the FBI. There were a number of FBI agents in attendance at my seminar in Albuquerque New Mexico. The FBI knew many of my Excel tricks, including Filter by Selection and built on my trick to show me this awesome trick.
