First Batch Of 285 Haj Pilgrims Depart For Jeddah And Madinah | India Today News

285 Muslim pilgrims departed from Delhi on Wednesday (May 8) to Jeddah and Madinah as the first batch for this year's Haj pilgrimage.

Preparations have also been made for 69 Muslim women to go on the pilgrimage without a "mahram (male companion)".

The women underwent training at the Haj committee's office and were equipped with information to deal with any difficulties during the pilgrimage.
