Latvian Railway 2013 Part 1

Scenes from Latvia in June 2013 featuring 2M62, 2TE116 and 2TE10 M and U models. We begin in Jelgava where the north-south and east-west mainlines cross. We then follow the Jelgava-Krustpils line eastward, ending the day at Livani on the Riga-Daugavpils line. The following day we headed north to the Krustpils-Rezekne line to catch a number of LDZ's 2TE116's, a relatively recent acquisition. On the way to Estonia, we stopped in Aluksne to catch the narrow gauge line, then onward to the Rezekne-Russia line where we caught a number of RZD 2TE116's on run-through freights. Then it was south to the Daugavpils-Belarus line to catch Belarus 2TE10M, U and MK models between Naujene and Andzani.
