From 178 to 156: My Playing Ability Test Cinderella Story

Описание к видео From 178 to 156: My Playing Ability Test Cinderella Story

Nobody was expecting the performance I pulled off on April 30th, 2023 at Katke Golf Course. After an abysmal ending to the year in 2022 where I shot a 178 for 36 holes in the second playing ability test I ever played, many people thought that it would take me a double digit amount of attempts to pass it.

They couldn’t have been more wrong.

Truthfully, my game wasn’t ready in 2022. Breaking 80 is pretty impressive on its own. Doing it twice in a row on the same day is on another level. The Playing Ability Test can make a 2 handicap crumble and shoot an 85 like nothing else. It is cutthroat. No gimmies, no wedgeworthies, nothing.

My dad, being the absolute angel that he is, traveled three hours to Big Rapids to caddy for me and just be there for me watching me play. He took about 25 videos over the course of the day, which is what you’ll see here.

The conditions were nothing short of brutal. It was 38 degrees when we started (luckily no major wind), and it HAILED on us during the second round for about 20 minutes to the point where we had to suspend play as we couldn’t putt on the greens!

But after eight hours of golf, all the preparation, all the heat from others in the program of how I needed to get better or else I wouldn’t survive, all the changes to my swing and my putting stroke that I made throughout the winter, all made sense. It wasn’t about passing. It was about redemption and pushing my limits all along.
