Eating well on the road can be challenging, but not while passing through the Phoenix area of Arizona. We are making our way to Sedona and on day two we don't have time to cook. So that means we get to catch up with some friends and eat some delicious vegan food. I used to work in Phoenix and when I became vegan 6 years ago my co-worker was there to hear me talk about this journey I am on. Fast forward 6 years and now I go by Turnip Vegan and my co-worker and his wife now own 3 vegan restaurants in the Phoenix area. One is called Nana's Kitchen. Straight-fire soul food. We also stopped and ate at a dope place called The Uprooted Kitchen. This is my kind of food. Fresh and made in-house. They also get some of their fruits and vegetables from the farm across the street.
