In third episode of the Evolution of Fighter planes we look at some of the best second-generation fighter planes such as the MiG-21, Saab Draken, F8 Crusader, English Electric Lightning and the Dassault Mirage III.

These planes were exceptional dog-fighters, ground attack aircraft and bombers. They could fly faster than the speed of sound reaching Mach 2.

Each fighter could hold their own against one another. Whether it's the American vs Russian jets, RAF vs Russian jets, Swedish vs Russian jets or French vs Russian jets, the outcome could vary.
