Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is an action-adventure first-person shooter game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is set after the Nintendo 3DS game Metroid Prime: Federation Force, which launched in 2016. The story follows main Metroid character, Samus Aran, a bounty hunter sent to an unknown planet, Viewros, to assist an ancient alien race, Lamorn, in bringing the planet’s legacy to a new world.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond allows players to scan objects and enemies to learn about each environment as in previous Metroid games but this game also introduces new psychic powers for Samus that she can use to guide shots, operate mechanisms and a motorcycle. The game also provides assistance to players during combat from Galactic Federation members. The Nintendo Switch 2 version gives players the ability to use a Joy-Con 2 controller as a mouse.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond released on December 4, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
