Small Batch Soap Making - How to Batch Your Oils

As soapmakers, we hear a lot about master batching oils, but what does this really mean? At a smaller scale, rather than creating a "master" batch to draw from, it may make more sense to get your soapmaking oils ready ahead of time for a bigger day of soapmaking. This simplifies the soapmaking process, keeps the soapmaking days shorter, and helps you feel more organized. I love to have one prep day, followed by a soapmaking day. The prep day might begin with cutting the previous day's soap and then preparing buckets and making lye-water. However it looks for you, this video should help you get some ideas for how to incorporate prep into your small batch soap making.
