After two relaxing weeks at my friends, Martina and Johans, campground "Utopia Overland Camping" (-25.367498, -66.234324) it was time to move on.

On this day I was riding my bike through the spectacular national park of Los Cardones.
Utopia Overland Camping is 5 km South of the small village of Seclantas, close to Ruta 40. So the first few kilometers I followed Ruta 40 until the junction to Ruta 42 and from there along 42 until Ruta 33. This road (Ruta 33) is also a gem!
On Ruta 42 you ride through the Los Cardones NP, which is on it's own worth a visit. The big cacti and the colorful rock formations are stunning. Then Ruta 33 leads you up to about 4000m and then you cross the mountain pass and follow a magical valley East, heading for Salta.
About 50km before Salta I found a nice wild camp spot by a river.
