"hello, if you are a private sector professional above 40 years of age, with 15 years of work experience in any of the field like financial services, revenue, economic affairs, agriculture, farmer welfare, road and highway transport, forest and climate change, the narendra modi government may hire you as a joint secretary. This is under the ""lateral entry"" scheme that aimed at bringing in some new approaches and fresh ideas to governance and also to expand manpower. The Central government has now invited applications for all these 10 posts of joint secretaries under this welcoming scheme. The selected individuals will be given 3 years contracts which will be extended to 5 years based on performance. And this is the first time such an organised policy is being implemented for hiring at senior levels. Meanwhile, the opposition had slammed the modi government and opposed their new move, saying that they will now try to recruit people associated with the RSS and BJP and employees working for top industrialists who are close to the government. With the recent step , the government is trying to bring maturity in the administrative policy making by appointing these professionals at the joint secretary level. However, there are still more than 1500 vacancies for the administrative position. So can we call it a good or a risky move taken by the narendra Modi government? Do let us know..
