PAV MAIE IS A GOAN TRADITIONAL HYMN COMPOSED AND WRITTEN BY LATE ANTHONY D'SOUZA WHO RESIDED IN BOMBAY AND PLAYED FOR BOLLYWOOD. HE RELOCATED TO GOA ( don't know when exactly)AND LIVED IN SIOLIM. IN GOA HE WAS KNOWN AS ANTONINHO DE SOUZA. WHEN HE WAS IN GOA HE WAS THE DIRECTOR OF THE RADIO ORCHESTRA IN AIR GOA. A CLASS MUSICIAN. MORE HAVE BEEN WRITTEN OF HIM BY HIS FELLOW MUSICIANS FROM THE BAND. HE WAS ALSO THE COMPOSER FOR THE FAMOUS RAJAN PREMA.

The first time I heard this HYMN was as a child going house to house for Our Lady in Konkani SAIBINIK. From that time onwards it has been one of my favorite hymn ever since. I always had a wish to cover this most beautiful Goan hymn. Sang it couple of times in the church while in the choir. Today my wish has indeed come true to present before you my cover of the most beautiful hymn PAV MAIE. I assure you that you will surely feel something deep in your heart and our beloved MOTHER MARY will touch you and give you peace. Working on this song has been a spiritual journey. At first I had decided to do the song solo. after I finished the and when I listened to it I felt something was missing and the very next thought was FLUTE and the only best person was MARWINO A DA' COSTA. He is a professional and I had no idea how to approach him. with no hesitation I texted him the same day and in no time he replied to me. Marwin a humble soul I can and his greatness lies in his simplicity. He was all ready for being the part of this cover.
Well this is the testimony of Marwino himself as he set down to do his flute parts at midnight. He heard the song couple of times and as he was recording he did know what was happening what experience he was going through. He had tears and goosebumps and shivers as he played his parts. He finished his recording session early in the morning at 6. The next morning he narrated his experience through a voice note on whatsapp the very next morning. Hearing his experience I was touched and reciprocated the same experience I went through.
The next one for him and for his family was while doing the videography the whole family was touched.

Plz Note: I had no intentions to change the tune of the song. When I was recording the vocals I gave shout to the Holy Spirit to lead me. As I recorded my vocals I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes don't know why. The tune for the second verse was very spontaneous and I felt at peace while singing. I have no intent to change the original composition. The first verse I kept intact from the original.
