These Tide Pool Treasures are Complete! Landscape Painting Art Process Time-lapse, "Stone and Sky"

Welcome to Fibrescapes! My name is Shelley Birkholz. I'm a Canadian artist inspired by nature's stunning beauty, and I paint with yarn!

This is the final video in a set of two on my work to complete "Stone and Sky", 24x36". It's a landscape painting made with yarn and glue on wood panel... no paint! In this video, I complete the rocks, plants, and tide pools on the shore.

The inspiration for this piece were the colours, not only in the sky, but on land, seen during this beautiful sunset on the St Lawrence River (from Kamouraska, in Quebec, Canada). It was a challenging colour palette for me, but I'm happy with the result.
