Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

1. To appreciate the role of multi-modality imaging, including echocardiography, multi-detector computed tomography, and cardiac magnetic resonance, in the evaluation and therapeutic management of: i) the atypical phenotypes of severe aortic stenosis (AS) such as paradoxical low-flow, low-gradient and normal-flow low-gradient AS; ii) Asymptomatic severe AS; and iii) Symptomatic (heart failure) moderate AS.

2. To implement and interpret a new multi-parameter classification scheme for staging the extent of extra-valvular cardiac damage associated with AS

3. To be aware of the design of the ongoing randomized controlled trials on the timing of intervention in asymptomatic severe AS and moderate symptomatic AS
