Colt starting in real time | Day 1

EN | This video is the first part of a short series that shows a colt starting in real time, almost completely uncut. (I removed about ten seconds of footage where I pick up my flag.)
The horse is called Banjo, he is a three-year old solid Paint gelding. He had been saddled a couple of times about a year before the film. A heavy-handed cowboy wannabe pushed him hard along the round-pen and the only consequence was a wounded hind leg! Since then, he has not been worked nor handled, he just spent months in the field with Louisiane (the spooky mare of a previous video) and another young mare as afraid as Louisiane.

Day 1 has been dedicated to the basics:
Groundwork Fundamentals;
Groundwork Foundations;
Desensitizing to the saddling;
First mounting.
We have spent one hour and fifteen minutes in total and finished on a relaxed note from the saddle.

FR | Cette vidéo est la première partie d'une courte série qui montre le débourrage d'un poulain en temps réel, presque sans coupure au montage (j'ai enlevé une dizaine de secondes de film au moment où je prends mon drapeau au sol).
Le cheval s'appelle Banjo, c'est un hongre Paint de trois ans. Il avait été sellé une ou deux fois, environ un an avant le film. Un aspirant cowboy à la main lourde l'a poussé assez violemment le long du rond-de-longe et n'a obtenu pour seul résultat qu'une blessure au postérieur ! Depuis, ce cheval n'a pas été travaillé ni manipulé, il a juste passé des mois au champs avec Louisiane (la jument peureuse dont je vous ai parlée dans une vidéo précédente) et une autre jeune jument toute aussi effrayée que Louisiane.

Le premier jour a été consacré aux bases :
Fondamentaux au sol ;
Fondations au sol ;
Désensibilisation à la selle ;
Première monte.
Nous avons passé une heure et quinze minutes ensemble en tout et pour tout ce jour-là et avons terminé sur une note détendue depuis la selle.
